A criminal mastermind and a prize

Armitage Jade had amassed quite a tidy little criminal empire.

Though, really, not so little any more, he had recently gained control of a handful of planets along one of the shipping lanes that the First Order had previously held. He didn't remove it from their control out of any sort of altruistic reasoning, but simply because it was something they wanted, which meant that it was something he didn't want them to have.

His mother had told him, and often, not to let himself be dragged into helping either side of the ongoing conflict because they would both use them for what he could do, whether that was his minimal abilities in the Force, or his brilliant analytical mind, or both.

So he'd gone about building his own side to the thing, though not allied with the Rebellion, he still thwarted the First Order here and there, if only because he knew it must be infuriating to his father that his bastard child -one of many as likely as not- was proving to be such a formidable foil. That was, of course, if the man even admitted that Armitage was his blood.

He didn't have any audiences on his schedule that day, which was why he was surprised when one of his advisors came to tell him there was a small delegation arriving, and, not one to turn away visiting allies -or potential allies- he instructed that they be brought to the great hall where he'd meet them.

People looking to describe Armitage usually settled on 'severe', or 'intense' and he could certainly be both, a shock of red hair tied in a stub of a tail at his nape and a wardrobe that consisted of varying levels of 'black', with a vibroblade in a magnetic sheath at his calf and what could only be a lightsaber at his hip, he was intimidating enough even before he spoke, a clipped Coruscanti accent that most people didn't expect from someone of his reputation.

Watching Poe writhe against his own desires as well as the web of rope that held him was just as attractive as Armitage had thought it would be, noting to himself that he'd have to try a more complex hold, a different position next time.

He tutted softly as Poe looked away, amused by the way his cock twitched almost immediately thereafter. He wasn't going to insist on eye contact this time, after all, this was meant as a winding down of tension, not something to arouse him.

It felt wrong, forced to take part in his own torment, but once he'd finally broken there was really no going back. Poe tried to make it quick now that he'd given in, not wanting to be watched any longer than he had to.

He sucked the plug with a hurried desperation, straining and bucking, sealing himself away beside closed eyes.

Making sure his playthings participated was part of the fun as far as Armitage was concerned, especially in cases like this where it was clear they were uncomfortable, but continued anyway. It was always much more entertaining than the ones who refused, or the ones who actually enjoyed it, though both of those could be fun as well.

He could tell by the movement of Poe's jaw just what he was doing, and while under other circumstances Armitage would have cautioned him to slow down, he was allowing Poe free rein, of a sort, for this instance, keeping still and quiet himself, though sure that Poe was fully aware he was still watching.

He was all too aware. It made it that much more difficult to force that climax, the knowledge that he was being watched jumping to the forefront of his mind at every inopportune moment, leaving him frustrated and hanging on the edge for far too long.

Then- a groan, and a particular arch to his body that said it had finally, blissfully, happened.

He hummed softly, low and thoughtful as he unfolded to his feet, fingers light as he carefully slid the sheath free, setting it aside for sanitization.

He was just as careful in removing the gag, smile tilting into place for a moment as he asked: "That wasn't so bad, was it?" The entire intricate web of knots came undone with only a couple of pulls, and unraveling Poe from his bindings took very little time as well, leaving his bound wrists for last, fingers kneading against them lightly as he did, to make sure there was still circulation.

He stepped back a moment later, gesturing towards the door, "Go on, get cleaned up, the rest of the day until dinner is yours to do with as you like." Though he was still limited to where he could go, Armitage suspected that any chance at exploring his surroundings would be welcomed.

Poe very pointedly avoided meeting his gaze, face hot, and he frowns pointedly at the question.

He was a little unsteady on his feet, but eager to put distance between them, disappearing to get cleaned up.

Once he had, Poe opted to put his boundaries to the test, even with Serpent trailing after him, he needed to know what he was facing, how serious this arm band really was.

Armitage had let him have full range of that level of the base, considering that it consisted of quarters, shared recreation areas -including the flight simulators- and the main mess where they'd had dinner the first night and likely would again.

It was only if he tried to take a turbolift -or maintenance stairway- to another level that the armband would activate, that green light first flickering to orange and giving a warning jolt that was enough to make his arm go numb, and if he continued after that the light would turn to red and deliver enough of a shock to knock his legs out from under him, if not knock him out completely, one that would repeat every five to ten seconds until he moved back to an allowable area.

The turbolift had seemed too obvious, but after some skulking about Poe took his chance with one of the less frequented stairways. The warning shock had him cursing, clutching at his arm, trying to push through it, but he only made it a few more steps before the following shock dropped him, falling down the remaining stairs, barely conscious at the bottom. He tried to force his limbs into crawling back up before a second wave had him seizing up again, unable to move.

Gasping for breath when it ended, he continued climbing up, calling for the droid.

Luckily the droid was near at hand, and had already been following Poe down the stairs when he was practically kicked down them by the jolt.

It was the work of a moment to meet Poe halfway, hauling him the rest of the way back to safety, and if he'd had a human minder instead of the droid, they probably would have insisted on returning to the suite, but Serpent just stood sentry, waiting for Poe to recover and decide for himself if he was going to keep exploring or go back.

Panting, Poe gave a muttered thanks to Serpent, trying to rub feeling back into his limbs, and calm that pounding heart with slow breaths. Looking back to the stairwell, Poe wasn't sure he was willing to try that again so soon.

It took a while before he was able to get to his feet, a little unsteady, deciding he can't make another attempt until he figures out how to remove or disable the armband.

He was reluctant to return to the suite, but his body was exhausted, eventually leading him to make his way back, peering around to try and avoid his Master and slip unnoticed to his cot.

Armitage was, unfortunately, not going to be that easy to avoid, looming in the doorway almost as soon as Poe had settled, "Where did you try to go?"

He knew the armband had gone off, of course, and chances were good he knew exactly where it had done so, thanks to Serpent's locational beacon if nothing else, which meant that the question was a test, to see if Poe tried lying, and if he did, just what kind of a lie it was.

"..." Poe froze up almost the same as he had with that shock running through him, slow to lift his gaze.

"...I was just seeing where I could go," he answered as neutrally as he could manage, unsure how much his Master knew.

"So you decided to test whether I meant it when I said you were relegated to this level only?" He sighed, then, shaking his head, honestly sounding more disappointed than anything, "How many times were you hit with the full power?"

If it was something he could just sleep of, Armitage would let him, but depending on how stubborn he'd been, he might need a trip to medical, though Armitage suspected it was the first one, as it was only two by his count.

"..." Poe glanced away, and while not verbally acknowledging it, he eventually gave a short nod.

"Three?" he answered uncertainly, pausing a moment, as though trying to replay it in his mind, "...I don't-...I'm not sure."

"You're still quite coherent, so it wasn't more than three." He said, finally stepping into the room, gesturing with one hand, "Let me have your wrist." His fingers were cool against Poe's skin, just checking his pulse, brow creasing a little as he counted, finally nodding and letting go, "You should be alright after some rest. Something to balance your electrolytes. If you start seeing double, or lose feeling in your extremities, tell me. That means we'll have to take you to medical."

Surrendering his hand for Armitage to check his pulse, Poe nodded warily, seeming unnerved by his Master's casual approach to all this. No yelling. No immediate consequences apart from the device shocking him.

"...Yes Master," he murmured, drawing his hand back.

As far as Armitage was concerned, the shock itself was punishment enough, at least for a first offense, if Poe kept testing it, there would be further consequences, but the fact that he had made it back to the suite under his own power instead of being carried, and didn't try to lie about what had happened went a good way towards keeping Armitage from punishing him further.

He nodded once before taking a step back, "Rest up, I do expect your company for dinner." Until then, he was perfectly willing to leave Poe be.

"Thank you, Master," Poe murmured, settling back in his cot and for once doing just that. For a while he simply rested, plotting where he might find tools to try and open the arm band up. Zorii had taught him a few skills in that area, mostly hotwiring, but he thought he might be able to apply that knowledge here if he could get into the thing without setting it off.

That pondering eventually ended, drifting off for a time before waking and dragging himself out to join his Master as promised. He was still a little stiff, feeling drained and sore, but nothing that seemed as though it would cause lasting harm.

He had initially intended to have dinner in the main mess with his people as he usually did, but after Poe's testing his limits, he determined it was safer to eat in quarters, and that since most of them knew about his meeting that morning -so they'd know not to interrupt- he was fairly sure most of them would chalk his absence up to that.

It wasn't entirely uncommon for him to take a meal privately, even dinner, so it wasn't as if there would be gossip the next day.

The meal was the same simple fare it had been previously, varied enough to be getting a good array of nutrients, and not too rich. His only question once they'd both settled into the meal was: "Is that a lesson you're going to have to learn more than once?"

Hungry after his fruitless adventure, Poe tucked in eagerly, pausing at Armitage's question.

"No, Master," he answered immediately, though he knew very well it might be. If not this same lesson, then similar ones, still determined to escape.

Armitage contemplated that answer for a moment, finally nodding, "Very well." That was, apparently, all he had to say on the matter, at least for the time being.

Once dinner was finished he said simply: "No session tonight, you could use a little more time to recover." His brow lifted, "All the same, I do still expect you to join me when you've finished eating."

That was a surprise, and Poe nodded faintly to show his understanding, thinking perhaps Armitage was more understanding than he gave him credit for. In this instance at least. The logical part of his mind told him not to buy into these apparent niceties and generosity, not from the same people who held him captive. But as with the gentle touches, it was hard not to be drawn in by them.

He finished his meal and went to join his Master, unsure exactly what to expect.

It seemed that one of the settings for the entertainment library would change two of the walls of the lounge into a projection display, currently showing a rain-swept vista as if through a window on the wall mostly behind Armitage's chair, and a fireplace crackling away behind a wrought metal grate on the wall to one side. It even wafted heat the way an actual fireplace would, and Armitage had left a low, thick cushion beside his chair, "Here. Sit with me."

He had a drink and datapad on the side table, and once Poe had settled, he explained, "I'm going to have my drink and I'm going to read, and in the meantime, you're going to rest, relax, and give yourself time."

It wasn't what Poe had expected to find, but it was a surprisingly pleasant display, drawing a curious head tilt, though he moved to sit on the offered cushion. He might have made a face at it earlier, but he knew there were far less comfortable ways Armitage could display him.

He watched the simulated fire crackle, easily becoming lost in thought.

After a few moments, he trailed his fingers almost absently through Poe's hair. It wasn't truly absent, like most things with Armitage it was careful and calculated, to determine just how much Poe would tolerate, and while he wouldn't necessarily back off if there was a recoil, that would still tell him what he needed to know.
